Pаrt 1 οf 5 Nutnfancy’s Tabletop Review аnd Philosophy’s wіth thе pistol Sig P226: An outstanding pistol design, thе Sig P226 іѕ truly аn аmаzіng аnd proven rifle. It stacks up pretty well against Nutnfancy’s Standard 9mm pistol measure аlѕο ехсеllеnt 17th-Glock Though accepted reluctantly bу thе American civilian shooter іt wаѕ embraced аnd lονеd a handgun, аѕ encapsulated іn thе hands οf thе Navy SEALs аnd wіth hundreds οf law enforcement authorities. Thіѕ іѕ bесаυѕе, yes, іt іѕ a world-class design аnd trigger offers complete reliability, аmаzіng accuracy, robustness, gοοd firepower, outstanding ergonomics аnd outstanding. Many compare thе Sig P226 tο a Swiss watch, аnd thats a fаіr comparison, іt іѕ a mechanically efficient аnd bеаυtіfυl design. Bυt hοw іѕ іt against thе stack Glock 17? Tο tеll thе truth (аnd іt іѕ here), thе Glock holds edge іn absolute durability, weight (bіg advantage іn 8 oz), easy operation аnd раrtѕ, firepower, аnd price, bυt іn ѕοmе cases, thе advantage іѕ slight. Hοwеνеr maintains Nutnfancy both аrе equally close іn terms οf reliability, accuracy, ergonomics (very subjective fοr everyone) аnd track record. Bυt thе signal іѕ a lovely attraction fοr many, іѕ difficult tο define аnd quantify. Yου hаνе tο shoot аnd keep fοr one tο understand. It inspires confidencethat mοѕt іmрοrtаnt attribute fοr аn effective fight handgunnery needed. And fοr many, thаt thе confidence οf thе tie-brеаk thаt mаkеѕ thе Sig thеіr preferred . . .

After the owner of an M & P9 for a few months, and after review of the nutnfancy SIG, I exchanged the MP9 for a SIG P226R. This pistol iseverything nutnfancy said and much more. Awsome, to say the least. I had a blast at the Reihe.N. BQuebec, Canada

There was a recent movie made the 226 and thats an appearance in “The Departed” of the Massachusetts State Troopers use it, and RI, CT and most of New England statuses as far as I know. Love this gun!

@ Chef Pelle. . . . to replace them. In any case, it seems you are afiliated with the Swedish force? Please contact me privately?

  4. Steve25g says:

@ ChefPelleNun as I shoot the P226S, and when I started, I could use them to shoot them in cones, and was quiet, said that successful with Pistole.Wie, I shot with two P226 highly used, and none of them darstellt.Das is a threat, I like my film in the new model to ändern. Was I would like to mention that with this accident that police blamed as Sig Sauer stuck clearly not one to crack these images and provides, through first sign. . . . .

@ Steve25g As I said, I have nothing against SIGs. I have used it and a lot with the X5 (PPC) competed. I noticed that someone (a clown?) Called me a liar, but sorry my friend – what I write is real. Maybe it does not like, but it is the trout. Only because I have a good product and you do not like it, it’s perfect. If you can not accept that it is a fanatic.

  7. ChefPelle says:

@ Steve25g I have the SIG representatives that the agreement show dealt with the Swedish police on the IWA in the early 90′s, and he confirmed that there was a lot of problems was mentioned. The police armourer have gun openly in the Swedish press on the problems talked to the SIGs and there were several articles in the media about the officers always by their bare, wounded the last one that I know to be the two students in to End hospital.

  8. ChefPelle says:

@ Steve25g The main problem with all the SIGs by the Swedish police are used, they crack along the frame rails. Slide fractures have occurred but are very rare. show the problem with the aluminum frame began quite early, just a few years after the first delivery back in the 80s. One must take into account that the majority of small arms continues to use today are of the time. The design has evolved over the years.

  9. ChefPelle says:

@ Steve25g 10 000 rounds is more than an average police career needs. The problems that have arisen among the “SWAT” teams and the police academies, where the guns used to really. The SWAT teams have switched steel P226s and P229s to the academies. There was a case about a year ago when two students got ruptured Dias beat them in the face (P229). IMHO happens, these cases because of lack of service. My guess is that this film it had feathers far to long

  10. ChefPelle says:

@ Steve25g Just as a start I like to make clear that I would not try to badmouth SIGs. I think they are great guns, but they are not the “magic wonderguns” that relate to the press somtimes tend to them as. They have their drawbacks, as each has done. The Swedish police have had a lot of problems with their P225, P226 and P228 P229s. The police armourer in Stockholm said that they last about 10,000 rounds before they are ready for the trash. However, this must be put into perspective

@ ChefPelleEs shot very nice, but not compete with an X5, with the. 22LR conversion, and never really noticed a 22 kick a little?? Me personally was my first gun to buy a Sig, and will never go away from SIG. . , While before that I was with a Beretta 92F, Glock 17, Browning HP, and the first 100 shots with a Tanfoglio geübt.Also, all in all, I think the P225 a faulty design? Otherwise my face would have been blown off x times. . .

  12. Steve25g says:

Chef Pelle @ you buy an extra, (prolly x54allround, I love the decock system), the original. 22LR conversion kit and prolly one of my Freundin.Um back to the “abused” P226, with 105th 000 shots, the film was a bit to loosen the first shot of 1000′s, we move away from us (we shot with two people), but then we realized it was not necessary. I think it was the old film as gut.BTW, I shot with a Mosquito with RedDot, etc, and while a lot of criticism on them. . . .

  13. Steve25g says:

@ ChefPelleIch bought my gun (P226, and the old model), with 400 laps, was that in 2006, I think, and since that day, I shot at least 400 balls a week, usually even 500 or more, let us at 450 x 52 count = 23 400 per year. . . . , So my gun is at least 70th 000 shots, and still no problem. Magtech ammo is mostly, S & B and Fiocchi and worden.Wann usually 147grain Sig Sauer I will visit again, I will inform me to get a new model slide. . . . . .

  14. ChefPelle says:

@ Steve Steve25g, the Swedish police, with help of the SIGs about 25 years ago. Originally, P225 and later the other siblings in the P-family. The P’s last about 10,000 rounds before scrapping it to time it. You crack along the frame rails (for the most part) and it has broken several cases of slides and hits the officer was on the face (rare). However, I still have to be good guns for the SIGs. They are very popular with sport shooters (X5/X6)

  15. Steve25g says:

@ ChefPelleNun Chef Pelle, I was invited Sig Sauer, and shot almost all models, and have a P226, P226, I liked the most, like the P226S and the X5 had allround.Die P226 105th 000 shots, without repair, one end of the day had about 10 000 more, including 9mmP + and sub-machine gun ammunition. . . . .

  16. TNPviewer says:

It would be poetic to the Navy model to get, man they are to me more and more, this old gun reviews is growing, some of the stain on information and education =)

@ Ranger4321 just pull the trigger on an fyi, dug my trigger gauge, and checked a few of my guns, my government in 1911 tad under 4 pounds SA, SA is my commander three pounds to the point, is my Sig 9 pounds DA & 3 SA 5 pounds, my WWII Walther P38 is tad over £ 12 & £ 3 da SA (P38 is the grandfather from DA / SA semi-automatic locking cap pistols) saw through some of my books (probably faster google) again on your Near P220 shows, book & 4 £ 10 DA. £ 5 SA. (On my last post reference should be preferred)

  18. 45Blackjack says:

@ Ranger4321 continued, and I guess that would come to personal terms. ;)

  19. 45Blackjack says:

@ Ranger4321 sounds like your pressing the shutter button to shoot or whether b4 you’ve not decided. No matter what is to pull the trigger, all firearms, a safety net have in common is that the finger on the trigger, the decision to include or not, you b4 Place the fingers are made on the trigger. With a finger in front of the trigger guard indexed decision has been made to shoot, I can shoot faster (but not much) then I can with my Sig with my 1911, that is, when I click the safety of, as long as the decision to shoot.

  20. Ranger4321 says:

@ 45Blackjack it could, but not so easy with the P220R. has his DA / SA is to start with a fairly heavy trigger weight, somewhere between £ 10-12, I think. After his back a certain distance, it is then on the set with a single action trigger pull rate of £ 3-4, so someone give enough time prior to the start whereas in 1911 only think the thumb safety and a 3-4 £ Pull drawn.

  21. GoreTorn16 says:

Nutnfancy Hey, a quick update for you. I have shot my Sig Sauer P226 9mm yesterday and its a great weapon! After all my dry fire practice with my snap caps, I still learn a lot when it comes to acquisition target, pulls trigger and recoil anticipation. It is my first gun and its whole new ball game compared to guns. I could only buy for my various sites, because the factory setting is simple sights (which I do not like very much). But I thank you for all your wonderful insight!

  22. 45Blackjack says:

@ Ranger4321 good that could happen with any weapon, and probably more so with your P220 in 1911, when under stress with the 1911 you still have made for the security, not so with the P220. It depends on how much you practice and muscle memory, you keep your finger off the trigger until your ready to fire. And when someone shoot at me, my finger is gonna on that trigger as fast as I can be get there and heres where the P220 has an edge to solve no thumb safety, to remind you, have,

  23. Ranger4321 says:

@ 45Blackjack correction. The SIG is a special i P220R SIG, it is DA / SA so there is a decock. The problem that comes into play with the 1911s trigger weight is shooting under stress, you are certainly under quite a bit of it if youre to defend themselves. The natural tendency to clench his hands under stress, the hammer, if your back is looking forward to 1911, will certainly fire the gun accidentally.

  24. 45Blackjack says:

@ Ranger4321 continued, the main feature is a DeCock, the transition of the security of your DA / SA handgun (like the Sig P226) from SA (single action that is not sure how to wear it when a security, such as the thumb on the security, have a 1911) gun to DA (double action, safe as a bike DA) performed. Although I am not mistaken, your sig has firefox P250r a £ 5? thats “almost a hair trigger” for a DAO. ;)

  25. 45Blackjack says:

@ Ranger4321 continued: working with both guns cocked and thumb safety, pulled the trigger, which is not triggered in 1911, the DA / SA revolver is (because in most cases have the habit of thumb safety gun) Now take two pistols, cocked hammer, trigger pull the trigger with both guns often then not, a 3 to 4 pounds fire. Now you can p250r your Sig if I’m not mistaken, it’s DAO (double action only)? Is there a decock? If so, it would somehow be silly on a DAO.
